Our Story

Beauty is found in imperfections. A dented box. A damaged lid. A perfectly good serum that a warehouse decided wasn't perfect enough to sell. Nothing has to be flawless to be fully enjoyed — and that's been true for us since day one.

Less Waste. More Beauty.

That's the world we've been building since 2023, when This is Beauty started with one idea: "imperfect" doesn't mean unusable. It means a product with a story. So, we started rescuing those products — one listing, one sale, one saved-from-landfill bottle shipped at a time.

Since then, we've recommerced nearly 500,000 products. That's 500,000 items that didn't end up in landfill, because someone, somewhere, decided imperfect was good enough — and honestly, better than good enough, since it saved them money and helped the planet!

We're a movement. A community. A conversation. We've been having the hard ones since day one: about waste, about the true cost of "perfect" packaging, about what the beauty industry throws away every single day. And we've been working with YOU — our customers, our community, to change that from the inside out.

But rescuing damaged products from brands and retailers was never the whole story. Waste doesn't only happen in a warehouse — it happens on your bathroom shelf too. The gift set you never opened. The buy one get one serum that wasn't quite right for your skin. The perfume you fell out of love with. Every one of these has more to give.

So, here's the next chapter. We're opening our platform to YOU — not just to buy what we've rescued, but for you to buy, sell, and give back. Every sale helps people facing hygiene poverty – people who can't afford the basic essentials to keep themselves clean and healthy. Beauty can now be kept in circulation instead of collecting dust or heading for the trash. Sustainability was never meant to be a single transaction — it's a cycle, and every time you buy, sell, or give back, you are part of it.

This only works because of you — the buyer who sees a story (or a bargain!) instead of a flaw, and the seller who gives a product another life.

So, welcome to the This is Beauty Marketplace.
